Moss was born on the 13th of February in 1977. He is an American football
player. He was a player with the Minnesota Vikings (Oak Raiders), New England
Patriots (New England Patriots), Tennessee Titans (Tennessee Titans) as well as
the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League. The most admired wide
receiver in history along with Jerry Rice, he holds the NFL single-season
touchdown reception record (23 in 2007) in addition to the NFL single-season
record of touchdown receptions for rookies (17 in 1998) and is second in the
NFL all-time regular season touchdown reception list, with 156. Moss was famous
for his prowess in securing contestable catches, and the term
"mossed" has entered football vernacular. After football, he started
working for ESPN as an analyst for its studio Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday
Night Countdown programs. Moss was born in Rand, West Virginia. He attended
DuPont High School, one of two schools which were later merged into Riverside
High School, where he was a star in football, basketball, baseball, and track.
Randy was also a part of the school's debating club. Moss played a key role in
leading the DuPont Panthers football team to two consecutive state
championships in 1992, 1993. Moss was a top wide receiver. He also was a free
safety, and returned punts. In 1994, he won by the Kennedy Award as the West
Virginia Football Player of the Year. Parade magazine named him to their annual
All-American high school football team in 1995. in 2009, named him among the 50
best football players from high school of all time.
